The puppies are all destined to be working dogs, but in this world of job uncertainty they are busy investigating the possibility of alternative careers. Gardening and mining are two of their favourites, but they surprised me with their determination to assist with the housework this morning when I answered the phone in the middle of unloading the washing machine, and needless to say, by the time I returned they had emptied it and were running round the garden with their spoils.
They are a cooperative bunch, and when one of them got hold of the whistle lanyard at the back of my neck, they all joined in and managed to drag me to the ground.
They are very good about going outside to the toilet, so they are not hard work at all, just time consuming, and they are a lovely even litter of strong, well socialised puppies.
